Our Restoration Process
All the adverts featured in our range have been carefully sourced, scanned, and then faithfully restored and reprinted in larger formats using the latest graphic processing techniques and software.
Before & After Example

Given the nature of original printing methods, many reprinted adverts will show the original halftone printing pattern that can be exaggerated slightly in large print formats. This means any imagery will appear as a series of dots and the text will look slightly rugged. See the example below.

As we wish to remain faithful to the source material and maintain a 'heritage paper' feel this halftone printing pattern remains and the text is left as is. The original advert is restored, enhanced and combined with additional processes to add an aged feel and appearance, including our signature light sepia tone.
Each advert takes 2-3 hours to restore fully, removing all minor and major defects from the piece such as stains, tears, print errors, dust, dirt, and scratches. It is then converted to a large format poster.
If you have any more questions regarding our processes or have a particular advert you wish us to source and add to our range, please do reach out and we will be more than happy to assist you further.
